This is the new Kid Romance release on Canadian label Scotch Tapes!

Kid Romance- "Formula"

I have been trying to put my finger on the sound of Kid Romance... If you bought a copy of Scotch Tapes release from Terror Bird and mixed that with minimalist punk guitars, you sort of get the idea... but not really. Kid Romance's sound is simply Kid Romance. Lucy's vocals (albeit strange and sometimes off-kilter) fit magically into synth sounds and catchy guitar dances.

Kid Romance came into my world last year with a great single released on Captured Tracks and has been in heavy rotation since. This is not a tape to be missed. By this time next year, Kid Romance will be huge. Trust me on this one..

This is the only known photo of my performance at PA's Lounge on Halloween, 2009. I was asked to do a performance by Albert Polk of Polk Records. I decided to be Linda Blair and do a dance performance. It is one of my favorite performances and I am glad this photo exists.
